Paul A. Haake · CSEIP
Federal Security Systems Engineer & Consultant
I help federal agencies and security integrators design, integrate, troubleshoot, and commission access control systems. With more than three decades of experience, I connect credential requirements, system architecture, and the practical work of getting a system running in the field.

Where I Can Help
PACS architecture and PIV/CAC/TWIC credential workflows
Command Centre configuration, integration, and troubleshooting
Access control, video, identity, and supporting infrastructure
Migration planning, reader validation, and field support
Experience Behind the Work
My background spans Gallagher Security, LenelS2, Stanley Security, Red River Computer Company, and KPH Communications. That experience brings manufacturer, integrator, and infrastructure perspectives to the same project.
- CSEIP certified, with a focus on federal physical access control systems.
- Federal focus: HSPD-12 and FICAM-aligned access control, credential workflows, and identity integration.
- Hands-on engineering: System configuration, PACS migrations, fault isolation, and commissioning support.
- Technical guidance: Design reviews, RFI/RFP support, and mentoring for engineers and installers.
How I Approach a Project
I start with what the system needs to do and what is actually happening in the field. From there, I work through the dependencies, define a practical path forward, and help the team verify the result.
- Assess: Understand operational needs, credential requirements, and existing conditions.
- Diagnose: Trace problems across controllers, readers, software, integrations, and the network.
- Plan & implement: Develop a workable design or phased migration with clear dependencies.
- Validate & hand over: Check system behavior, document the work, and help the team support it.
